Will this posi rear work?

I've been looking for a 8.5 posi rear for my buick for some time. Well i found this on a local craigslist add. guy says its from a G-body and its posi....can anybody identify this rear, and will it work?

The upper control arm mounts are too far apart.It looks like a 73-77 A-body,but the later B-body used similar,but not many were 8.5.

thats what i was thinking...the diff cap looks like something off a 70's 442 cutlass or chevelle
