Having very long update downloading. The files are just a few mb, but are taking over an hour.
This is happening on both of my new computers.
I've tried wireless, and LAN connections...No luck.

I've done defrag, virus scan, registry clean, etc. No help.
NE1 have a suggestion as to where to look?

TIA,

TIA,

Mine did an update the other night. It started at 2am. When I checked at 7 it was still going. Finished at 7:30. I couldn't believe it took that long. Hang in there

I did a bit of inquiring of a friend, that knows the system.
He said that the xtreme time was due to the updates manipulating/deleting/rearranging data.
I was looking for a popup to say that it was done, and had to be installed. He said there was no "install" portion for the updates. Done in 1 operation.
I'm setting my lt and pc to do this at night, as I did w/ the old, XP machine.
I just started my new pc @ 4:00PM.. I'll see. Depending on the age of the system, since it was loaded at the mfgr, I think there may be more/less updates needed, compared to my lt..
