Took the motor out of my 85 GN and the #1 lifters where dished out with the lobe on the cam almost gone. The # on the motor was a 4140 .
Should I get a 109 block or keep the 4140 ?
The rebuilt motor had 20,000 miles when the cam went.
Are the lifters bad about dishing?
Can I run roller lifters and a mild cam or do I have to run a roller cam?
