See attached photo. I went to install my new wiper motor and I can’t find what plug goes into the motor! Where is it? Where does it come from?

Guys, really need some help with this. IF anyone can trace it out or take a pic of the plug going into the motor and where the other end terminates or comes from. Really appreciate it.

I've replaced two and my motors had two prongs that inserted into the assembly. I do not recognize the motor you have.

Son of a!!!!!! Just checked the old motor and it’s a two prong not 3. Thanks again rock auto!!! I swear I have never gotten anything correct from them. This is ac delco too. Fuuuuuuuuuukkkk. Now what!?

I thought I sent you the pics and part # of right one from classic industries and original parts group
damn it man

Probably. Lol. It clearly says 3 prong connector. F me.

Anyone know where to get the contacts that need to be switched over? I broke one and had to solder it on.

go to electrical auto specialist shop or keep on searching
sorry for your mishap that really sucks
we have one here called a and r auto electric he mostly does re wires on old cars and always has some great knowledge

If I remember correctly that is a newer generation motor that had wired ground instead of relying on the external ground strap that goes from the housing to a mounting grommet ( rubber & steel ). That is why there is an extra prong on the new motor.
I worked on the line that built that motor .

I re ordered the right one. If this wasn’t a restoration I would make it work. Thanks!

I thought there might be a jumper harness to convert old to new wiring .
Your motor is a PMDP ( Permanent Magnet Depressed Park ) wiper motor .
This should be what you need . Delco Jumper Harness PMDP Wiper Motor NOS 2208738 .

That plug will not work. It’s got the wrong retaining apparatus. I guess call it a female clip? Lol I don’t know. My motor has the same thjng on it.

I ordered the correct motor.

Curious , was your old motor bad or did you just want to put in a new one ??

I checked at work today and that IS the harness for the old to new wiper motor connector .
The reason I asked about the old motor is because if the ground strap from the steel part of the mounting grommet to the connection that is radial riveted on the motor housing is loose , the motor may not run . They were notorious for corroding and losing connection , This is why they went to an ground wire in the harness and had to make a connector change to add the third wire .
If that's the case with your motor , just ground the case and it should run .

ill have to look into that mine doesn't work
Before removing the motor , take a test lead , put one on the wiper housing and the other to a good ground and turn on . If it runs , all that is needed is to drill a hole in one of the mounting legs to bolt on a ground wire .

Idk it’s been off the car for some time. This is a restoration so everything gets replaced with new. Should be here tomorrow. Get to grind the rivet back down, and all that happy horse shit with the pcb housing.
