withch pins on the dlc for lockup

Whitch pins on the data link connector do I have to jump to lock the convertor up. I know this is hard on the tranny but what exactly is taking the abuse. The torque convertor solely?

Connecting the upper right and upper leftmost terminals will lock the TCC in any gear above 1st.

The torque converter takes the brunt of the abuse as it was not intended for WOT lock-up. The friction lining is rather narrow but will hold up for a while. Also, the TCC piston itself has a spring damper assembly much like that of a manual transmission clutch disc.

That will help absorb some of the shock loads; until it bottoms out.
