What is the different between the standard NAPA "Gold" oil filter and the NAPA "R" (Racing applications only) oil filter?

I didn't think Wix made the racing filter for our cars, but the Wix racing filters have different filter media and I think a stronger can. I believe that they actually filter less than the regular Wix premium filter as they're made more for flow and they're not meant to stay on a car long. I wouldn't use them on anything I'd be driving.

Just to be clear, I love filters, I just meant I wouldn't use the Racing filters.
