Won't shift to second gear at WOT

I was at the track tonight, running good. All of a sudden, I launched, and it would not shift to 2nd gear. I could not figure out what it was at first, I thought it was the engine. I figured it out on the way home.
It will at part throttle, just not at wot. It does fine in every other gear. Any help would be appreciated.
It is a 87 GN with a 200r4, 2800 PTC lock up converter, it runs high 11's, low 12's with a very mild tune.

Try checking the TV cable adjustment. May need to be loosened a click or 2.

Did it mess up the timing of the shifts at light and part throttle
I had a similar issue and it ended up being a spring and check ball fell out
