Woodward Dream Cruise

Looks like I'm driving the GN out to Motown with a few buddies this year. Anyone else going? Trying to determine the better place to stay.....north near Pontiac or at the other end of the cruise in Southfield.

I'm from up in those neck of the woods, in Flint. I'd love to get back home and do that. And usually at the same time as the Dream Cruise, they have the back to the bricks show up in Flint, home to a deep history of Buick, so if you can hit both, I would highly suggest it!

Somebody will chime in with the date of the moose preserve. I believe it's the Wednesday the week of the cruise. As far as where to be on cruise Saturday I'd say around 13 mile and north on Woodward.

Yep I am right at 13 and Woodward. it is a hot spot for a few weeks before the cruise. And think you are correct I know the moose preserve last year was the Wednesday before the cruise. I always take that week off work to have some fun.

If you want mothed87 I could give you a list of Hotels around the area. there are a few that aren't that bad on woodward, best bet would be east of woodward. just depends on how much you want to spend

I've got a friend that works for Hilton and he got me an employee rate of $29/night just east of Pontiac on Featherstone Rd.

Can't beat that great deal. Not to far away from woodward. There are a few ways you can get back to woodward from there

I cannot wait for the cruise this year. I FINALLY have my car in running order (with a shit tune and an empty meth tank but nonetheless). New to all this and havent tuned anything in. side note I'd just be VERY careful leaving your car outside in pontiac. Hell, i live in ferndale and im scared to leave it in my driveway.

Think that hotel is just off I75 near the chrysler headquarters not bad over there but still be on the look out. there is always reports of cars being stolen around the cruise time. I am Just up the street from you TurboDetroit

Anything you can do. I don't want to make you uncomfortable, just bein cautious. I had my GN parked outside a shop in Berkley this weekend and somebody stopped to snag a pic, looked like they snapped the license plate. My GN is forever protected by GLOCK.

Yep been there a few times. I usually go across the street for a drive thru where the imports are and always get nice Monte. so go back to the shell station if there is room
