A blown HG... along with all the other problems I listed in the other thread?

The other day the car sputtered to a stop, I drove it home, there was oil lightly smoking from the DP.

Do these codes, along w/ the oil,and my description in my other thread mean I have a blown HG and bad MAF?

I'm about to tear into this project, and I just wanted to know if I also have a bad MAF

Code 42 is an electrical spark issue, chip and ECM and module related.

34 is a MAF code.

They both can be caused by simple things such as wiring and connections down to bad parts such as the MAF, ECM, Module etc.

They can surely cause stumbling and severe drivablility problems.

Especially at higher than cruise throttle.

I wouldn't confuse them with headgasket issues however, they should be totally separate issues.

I'd look at wiring and the electronic parts and do some troubleshooting and search for telltale headgasket problems before I tore into anything.
