Those anyone know of a mortgage company or broker that specializes in loaning you money to re-build your home? My wife and I were considering in moving, however, we are not going to get the type of land we have right now. I bought the house back in 02 befor the prices skyrocketed and I like where I live. I always thought that instead of moving and pay for a higher mortgage to get less, I was thinking in getting some type of refinance/construction loan and just build my home from scratch. The home is old and I'm spending to much time fixing this and that. I have enough room in my property to build a much bigger garage and still have space for a new home and keep the pool.

I have always thought about it, but never discussed it with anyone else besides my wife. Any thoughts???

You know it's really funny that you say that, because I bought the house because of the garage and the big yard. Anyhow, my garage is full of crap that we don't need and we are waiting for the spring to do a yard sale. Hopefully I can put my cars in... That way I don't have to wax my cars as much! :D

You can get a line of credit depending how much your house is worth. You can refinance right now. rates are at a low right now. call your mortage company. If you have equity in your house. I would prefer line of credit you pay interest on what you use. good luck
