I have a friend looking to put a 87 Engine into a 92 Trans Am, He needs motor mounts to do this, down pipe, and if any one has done a manual trans in with a GN Engine he wants to do that also. What fly wheel? Any info or leads on parts would be very much appreciated, hes not computer literate and asked for help. thanks in advance for any help.

He wants to use the original 5 speed to the car. I'll have to ask him what it is, Im not familiar with F bodys.

Ive done this swap with a LT1 6speed. it might be a little harder with a 5speed. Iwould need sum pics of his trans, bellhousing, throw out bearing.

5 speed

If it is the stock 5 speed out of his 92 it's a BAD idea! The first time he puts any real power to the t5 it is over.
Go with a 6 speed :)

You can use the upper and lower Buick mounts have to drill 3 holes each side and correctly position in the frame. Thats what I did. TTA lower mounts are a little hard to find if he insists on TTA mounts try asking the guys in the TTA section and be prepared to spend 100-200. The parts store still has the rubber ones for the R but they can be used on L with slight bend to the tab.
Unless he has TTA/3.0 FWD heads and TTA exhaust manifolds, NOTE: using the GN heads, exhaust, and crossover the downpipe will have to be custom. A pre-made DP for a GN or TTA will not fit.
And the A/C housing has to go, try to find the 1LE A/C delete blower hsg.
