Worst case, buy a new factory tank for around 140 and a new sump and have it welded up. You do have a few options, the top of one of my tanks was cut open and the baffle removed to weld the sump up, reinstalled and welded back up and have had a sx performance pump running for over 20 years and option 2 without the sump I had the top of the tank removed and nearly 2 inches added to the top of the tank and the pump mounting section was cut out of a mustang tank for triple E85 pumps that were going in a Lightning truck. I needed the fuel to power a stage motor and I wanted unlimited in tank fuel pump options but I didn't want another sx pump to deal with since they were discontinued /bought out ( I was charged an arm and a leg to rebuild one), or a really loud Weldon like on my race car. You will have a little money into the project but you could end up with a very nice project and a few extra gallons for cruising.
