this has to be in the bible someplace in revolations..... if the cubs and sox make the world series, the world ends.........

i am gunna go hide under my bed for the next week.

Yeah and what does it say that the crummy Angels won the Series last year? Surely the apocalypse is upon us...... :D

Ive been saying that for the last 2 weeks, it will be a never ending game 7, be tied and no one ever i mean ever wins, or hell freezes over which ever comes first.

IM WITH YOU THERE> Tired of seeing the Yankees and i dont even watch baseball, Just hate seeing all the hype people have when they win. Those of you that dont live around here wouldnt understand.

I heard Bill "Spaceman" Lee interviewed on a local radio station this morning. They asked him what he thought of the Pedro/Zimmer incident on Saturday. He said he was surprised the little gerbil didn't bounce higher. Any fool can root for the team that usually wins. It takes a real dedicated fan to support the Sox or Cubs. I guess winning at baseball is like making Buicks go fast... How much money you got???

So, what's the story with YOUR personal Bionic mods? AKA dead man walking. Looks like that could be a good story.

Crummy Angel's? YIKES!!!!!!!! They just happened to be the best team in baseball last year. As many years prior I watched nearly every game one way or another. Those guys never gave up. They played like they wanted it and they got it. They had owned the Yankees every years since '95. That is why Torres cried when he knew they would be facing them in the first round of play offs. Thanks to Minnesota, the Angel's never had to face the only team they had trouble with last year. When the A's went 23-0, the Angel's were 22-1. Tejada said he knew there was trouble when they looked over there shoulder's and the Angel's were right there too. And beating San Fransisco was just icing on the cake. Angel's were a complete team, the Giant's were just a good team playing behind the ever egotistical Barry Bonds. Crummy Angel's? NO WAY. Just like now. I don't have a favorite team actually, but I do hope it is either the Cubby's or Florida, which ever make it. First time ever I wanted a national league team win the series.

The Angels were a mediocre team that got hot at the right time. I'll stick by my statement. The whole team overachieved and played with a golden horseshoe up their azz all last year. Otherwise how can anyone explain that with mostly the same roster the Angels were 8 games under .500 this year? :) I know why, they forgot their horseshoe..... ;)

Anyway, the point I was making was that the Angels have been a pathetic organization that has known nothing but futility until last season. The fact that they won last year is just as surprising as the Cubs' success this year.

It will be Yankees vs Cubs. Boston doesn't want to win, very evident from the game tonite.

Not really into the ball and stick sports but my wife is a big Boston fan, told her not to get her hopes up.

I used to be a big Yankee fan when I was a kid. Of course when I went to Yankee stadium, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were still playing! Biggest highlight of all the games I went to there was when my father got hit in the head with a foul ball. Major headache to just get a baseball, loved those 3rd baseline front row seats. I saw the ball coming and ducked and he got it right between the eyes. The ball bounced back out onto the field and they gave it to him when he came to.:D TRUE STORY!

Funny how all these guys were expendable for the Bucs but look like stars for the Cubs. If you REALLY want to split hairs I think Ramirez is the only REAL Pirate farm system product.... Lofton was originally an Indian and Simon a Brave.

3 of a 24 man roster were Pirates.. hardly the "Chicago Pirates".

Mark, I remember going to a Boston/Yankee game in the Bronx in 1960. Don't remember who won (I never did care much for baseball), but we stopped for dinner after the game at Jack Dempsey's restaurant somewhere in the city. Met Jack himself and got an autograph. Man, what big hands that boxer had.

you are forgettin my main man Tony Womack! he's a pirates farm product. But he's out the rest of the year. Its a shame cause he's clutch in the post season. I seriously think the bucs connetion will bring the cubs a ring. look at the 2001 d-backs. Tony womack drives in Jay bell for the tying run and midre cummings scores the winning run. T-mack hasn't really had a chance to prove himself in chi-town yet.
