Wth valve spring tool

Does anyone have a valve spring tool from one of the vendors? I have one of the overhead tools with the knob you turn but it won't work to get the old ones off because of the factory cups. Maybe if someone doesn't want to sell I would rent it and return afterwards.

Why won’t the one you have work? You smack the retainer with a rubber mallet then use compressed air to hold up the valves then proceed to remove the keepers and retainers

I made about 6 of them and gave them.away. ask around. They are out there free.
