X-Gray

I'm a bit of a traditionalist (maybe more of a minimalist) when it comes to exterior styling. But a cosmetic enhancement that is also functional seems to make sense sometimes. For example......the GNX louvers. I installed mine years ago and, to be honest, they don't do a damned thing. Not even the real ones on an actual GNX do hardly anything...despite what most of the Buick community might think. I probably wouldn't choose to install the louvers today. But too late. The holes are in the fenders.

An intake on the hood that somehow can be explained as an intake for the turbo or something makes more sense.

But obviously, it's up to you. Just don't cut any holes your going to hate yourself for.
I totally agree! Have not made mind up but am thinking about it! Also have thought about deleting drip rails, the longer the car set apart the more ideas that pop up my head. I’ve truly probably just need to get back on the project when the weather warms up and get it done but not change so many things about the car it’s self!!!!

That would be unique. I myself would need to mock it up with black painted cardboard to be sure, before cutting a hole.

Here is an interesting thread about hood vent placement.

https://turbobuick.com/threads/wanna-go-fast.455287/
I have seen all the different kinds of louvers and Pontiac parts that people have put on the hood of our GN’s over the past few years. I still have not made up my mind but didn’t want to get some opinions on it.

I just put on a modified hood with twin NACA ducts and the turbo scoop opened on its backside. I have a buddy with a twin turbo and an E85 Stage car. What I've noticed on his Stage cars, is the tremendous, underhood heat they both produce. And we all know, heat kills. I figure the NACA ducts can draw air over and ventilate the heat of turbo, downpipe, and wastegate. The opening of the turbo scoop is intended to relieve high pressure air and release heat.

Still thinking about it but at this moment not really sure will go that way!

My logo getting started then 3D print! It is getting there!

Now that it is actually getting warmer for the past few weekends I have been trying to get some back yard stuff done quickly! Should be done this week and sometime this weekend I will ingulf myself into X-GRAY. Wanting to get it shot in April maybe mid April!

Future X-GRAY got some sun today. Had to clean garage. Will now be making some progress because my yard stuff is caught up

Time, I mean just time has gotten the best of me! Have at times been doing things to X-GRAY but did do Hawaii for a family vacation, painted exterior trim and stuff on home and shop.
On X-GRAY I have done all body bushings, yes even added #5! Have done some other little things but nothing huge.
For the 4th of July weekend I will be sheetrocking shop and garage.
