I thought I would throw this out there and get some opinions and see if anyone has a set of X main bearings or knows who still makes them. Right now the ONLY main bearings I can find that are high pressure performance bearings are the are STD M107 Sealed Power or Clevite MS 2022 P-series bearings. I don't think Clevite even makes the H-series mains anymore but they still have the 1398H bearings for the rods.

IME the Clevites tend to be tighter than Sealed power which is what I have been using for mains. Clevite used to make an H-series main bearing in a X size (-.001). Ms2022HX. If anyone would happen to have a set I would buy them if they are for sale.

King seems to be the "go to" bearing for the last 10 years or more.

Chris, I know it's not main bearings but I have a set of .001, V6 rod bearings. Clevite77

Thanks guys
I ordered a set of MB5737XP STDX from Summit. King does not list them for the Buick V6 they are a Holden motor or 3800 motor part number. I have a set of X and STD coming and will check them. Right now I have .003 with M107 Sealed Power tri-metail bearing with a little scotchbrite work. I also added a mid-plate and a Crower Billet crank vs the BMS forged I had in the motor and also moving to a str 50wt oil from HPL. I am going to run it like this and check them in 10-15 passes and see. I dont get the bearings till October at the earliest.

Here is my #3 main with .0032 and a BMS crank

Nice even wear on #3 cap bearing because there is NOTHING left but the steel shell lol!! You can see a specale of copper on the ends.

FYI car ran made no noises and had 45psi OP at idle. We just decided to check when OP on data log fell from 80 to 35 under power on a 5.20 pass!

Rods all looked good other than trash, going through them. #4 was the only one that got tore up from thrash from #3 main. #2 main was not much better thrust was fine. 1&4 mains looked good-ish, they at least had SOME bearing material left and weren't all copper! BMS crank is flexy flexy!

This is after 1000+ Street miles and at least 50 dragstrip runs and dyno pulls at around 1100, or more, rwhp. Again car was running and did 75 mile street drive that day! Yes with no main bearings!

I will never not run a belt drive oil pump again!
