XFI fan wiring question?

Does anyone wire one of the outputs on the XFI (in conjunction with the normal fan outputs on the XFI) to cut the fans off after a certain speed is reached? Seems like dual fans running at 40mph or more is just buring un-necessary amps..... amps that might be needed elsewhere..... and if you were on the interstate... that extra power required to generate that 40+ amps is sucking more gas......

Just a thought, but if your running hot enough to have the fans running at interstate speeds you have more serious problems than generating too much power.

I was only talking WOT.... like at the track.... using an output to cut the fans off....
