Anybody hear of Xylene rotting out the exhaust prematurely? I hadn't heard of this until recently and wanted to see if anybody had experienced this

Thanks

Can't.

By the time it passes thru the combustions chamber, it's carbon dioxide and water (just like the rest of fuel). Gasoline already has a significant amount of Xylene. Adding more is like spiking Mountian Dew with more caffine.

never heard this.. Sounds like urban legend.. :) no way it could do this. Its burnt off like gasolene.. not corrosive when burned or when its in its liquid form.
