I was out buying some videos at the local salvation army store (50 cents any VHS) + ($1.50 any DVD)

I saw a movie called BODY DOUBLE from 1984. I picked it up.

Kinda cheesey move with Bill Marr & Melanie Griffith.

Fun to watch those 80's babes. Saw some neat cars in the background too.

I saw Robot Jox on Youtube a couple of months ago. I remember seeing the ending where the American used the rocket fist against the Russian. lol classic film!

Pretty good Brian DePalma film. I've seen it a few times. Bill Marr isn't in it, but the lead actor was Craig Wasson who looks like him.

Gotta love that auger bit!

Ah thanks Yes correct Craig Wasson.. Boy he is a ringer for bill marr.

To take this on a tangent. ever go back and watch a movie you LOVED as a kid/teen/years ago, only to find that IT SUCKS and you were a total DOOFUS?

For example....

I was 12 I guess, and "The Gate" got released to VHS, my buddy and I watched it at his house one Saturday night, it was SOOOOOO SCARY, we turned it off and saved it for Sunday morning.

About 10 years ago (god I'm old) my wife and I rent it and watch it and she'd never seen it. She's like "this is STUPID this SCARED YOU????" my only defense is "well **** I was like 12 damnit!!!!"

I need a time machine so I can kick my 12 year old ass sometime.

I won't even mention "the Howling" and what it did to me at like 9.

I remember seeing "Body Double" at the theater. Shows my age don't it? :(

I have "Robot Jox" on VHS. I like just about any of the Full Moon/Charles Band films. The "Puppet Master" series, "Oblivion", "Trancers", "Doolman vs The Demonic Toys" and others.

I saw Body Double on a date with a girl that I worked with. I took her to the theater in my 68 Chevelle with a loud exhaust and a sticky throttle cable. As I pulled up to her house I had to punch it to get the idle down. Her Dad was right there. I kind of knew things weren't going to work out with that introduction.;)
