after i got the gs i've been spending a little time on the gs board trying to figure out some of that cars problems. those guys over there are morons! not only do they really not know whats going on with their cars, most of them don't do their own work, i see "my mechanic..." quite a bit. thats not the bad part, they talk like they know whats going on when they don't have the slightest idea. i've already been steared wrong a few times by those jokers.

then the other day i ran into a turbo honda crx blowing all kinds of black smoke, he either had a beyond trashed turbo, poped head gasket or was running diesel through it, or a combination of the 3. so i end up pretty much slautering him, post it in their kill section and they all go off about how that guy couldn't have been racing me because a turbo honda is the badest thing out there, even if it is smoking like that. smoking doesnt't slow it down  they really think they have some of the fastest cars out there. when someone runs a high 13 its like the planets have alligned and a miricle has happend.

anyways just had to rant. thanks and i appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness (and truely fast cars) on this site. just a past due thank you.

I've seen some turbo'd Hondas that were so rich and the tune so screwed, they would backfire at every shift.

The track opens 4/20 and I already have the day off scheduled. Are you going to run the GS?

Oh, and some of us are idiots - me included.

hopefully the t-type will be back together with a new engine by then, i'll have to see how it goes. i'll run the gs at club clash if i have to but i don't have any plans on tearing it up on wed. nights. i ran it on my g-tech, it went a 15.8 at 92. fairly respectable for a car thats as big as it is, but definatly no race car.

do you have any suprises for this year?

Hey denn, don't get discouraged. I post on the RegalGS board too occasionally but this is my true home. Matter of fact there are a few members here that own the newer style Regal.

BTW, that GS should ran in the high 14's if you master the wheelspin.

Not at 5800 feet above sea level:)

No. I tried talking the wife into a bigger turbo - thinking a T-66BB and a new converter, but she's not going to let me spend the $2000. Maybe I'll try a new chip to bump the timing and see if I can eek out a better pass. If I hit an 11.46 this year I'll be happy - I dont think there is any way my tired old car is going to get an 11.3x.

You sadly mistaken RegalGS for ClubGP. Common mistake. The Regal guys are VERY helpful, and I never see a bickering match there. Have proof of your claims? I doubt it, so sit down and shutup.

Hmmm, this is your quote over on the RegalGS board. If you don't think we know ****, please don't visit us. Thanks.

Oh, and btw, I do all my own engine work. :p

ok i guess i started a war over at the regal gs site, so i wrote this to explain it, just a cya for me, not required reading...

i guess i cought a lot of attention there, this is probably as good of a place to clear it up.

I have not directly had any problems asking people for advise. 95% has been helpfull the rest at least was honest from the best i can see.

HOWEVER there have been quite a few times already that insted of asking for help i used the search. THAT has lead me in the wrong directions quite a few times. looking back most of the people that have said the stupid stuff were short lived members, primarly less than 10 posts, most of them being over a year old. so does that tell you something? i think it does. i should have known better than to take their advise on anything.

want an example? i did a search on changing the sc oil, i don't remember who said this and i'm running short on time or i'd search for it again. but i read someone saying to take off the black plate with 2 bolts on the drivers side and suck the oil from there. as those of you familiar with these cars know, and as i found out, that has nothing to do with the oil. i think thats part of the pvc valve system. i could be wrong. luckly i was planing on changeing the oil and not just toping it off, or there could have been some problems. between that and the fact of reading some of the kill stories (many ARE respectable and pretty good) but all the v6 mustang, and grand am stories... street racing is pretty dangerous and definatly not a smart thing to do. personally i won't do it unless i'm provoked by a car i think to be worth my time, or for money and it only happens in a safe area. thats not something i see too much of here.

for those of you who do know what your talking about, thanks! 2fast4u, has been a huge help, and a lot of otheres have helped me get a few problems worked out on my car that otherwise i'd probably still have.

i'm posting this on both turbobuick and regal gs...

Without looking @ your signature I was under the impression @ 1st you was talking about the V8 board and I knew it wasn't so..... guess it pays to read the hole thing.
