thats what mine looked like

remember you get what you pay for ;) buy some ebay headers with that ebay intercooler lol

Yeah i dunno some things on ebay are hit and miss. Intercoolers are 90% of the time a hit on ebay. I have one of my stealth and its been very good so far.

Some require you to drill holes (RJC, Cottons??? etc.). Alot of us Buick Guys dont like to make swiss cheese out of our cars. I chose the precision as it used the mounting holes from the cross braces in front of the radiator. Although I can't say I never drilled a hole in my car. Something you may want to consider.

Dick Kerney has an amazing car and I don't want to take anything away from that fact BUT the IC he uses would cause you to overheat your engine if used on your street car....unless you are driving around in Antarctica.

Jason has on his site that the RJC MegaCooler (the one Kerney uses) measures at 4.75" thick and is for RACE ONLY applications. Do you recommend all of your street driven customers to hang these off the front of their cars? If I were gonna overheat my car with to big an IC I'd use a V3.:D
I will be runnen it on my STREET car and will let you know.... I will also be runnen an aluminum rad with twin spal fans.

It's gonna get driven a lot so I will definately post back my results and give people a real world answer if it can be driven on a street car or not without over heating. IC-475

Not sure who's I/C this is but This is the second I/C I seen do this in the last two years and not sure even if they are the same or not. At one point one has to decide on quality over price! ;)

This was just this year at Reynolds 2009..

That is Roy Garcia's IC that was on his TSO car that ran 8.40 @164mph. It is a custom built piece if I remember correctly.

I got the RJC right after they came out, 2yrs ago maybe, the top is mounted through exsisting holes and the bottom of the megacooler needed two holes drilled up through the radiator area.
With that and Razor's alky, only once had real knock at the track in 3rd gear.

Ok guys i ordered my ebay FMIC, ill let you guys know how it goes and post up pictures. I couldent pass it up at just over $150 shipped...

Yup....looks like a exact replica of the old school car tech IC....I wonder how efficient it would be with spraying alky? I wanna see some tests......:D

Heres an ebay FMIC . I'll probably end up with something else in the future.

i run that same intercooler on my 87 and my dads 86. It seems to work well. I have been 126 in my dads car and i have a friend that has gone 128 with one as well.

HOW can so many people have this kit and not have pics :D

I don't run a kit. I bought the intercooler on ebay for 150ish and then bought a piping kit and pieced it together. CXRacing Intercooler 25x16x4 Buick Grand National AM:eBay Motors (item 160385505291 end time Jan-06-10 19:09:41 PST)

I didnt have much money (and I still dont:rolleyes:) so I peiced a kit together myself. I paided $180 for mine back in the day. It was a little PITA, if I had money I would buy a kit with a bigger cooler and everything ready to go. But right now the car doesnt run so it doesnt matter :p:mad:

I bought marks unit and an very happy, old IC was a powerstroke

Yeah- I 2nd the motion! I have bought one of these already and I need to know how the pipes are run.

In the meantime, I'm running a Dutt-neck stock intercooler....

This happened to me a few years back, one peice end tanks would stop this problem from happening, although if you have a proper blow off
valve it would prevent this also.
This happens from compressor surge.
