    Vortex Buick Site??

It should be back up shortly as it is re-propagating now. I moved the domain and the hosting elsewhere. Had an email today from Lycos saying they were going to auto-renew the domain in a few days. LOL Told them it had expired on the 15th and it was a bit late to get around to doing as I had...

    Vortex Buick Site??

By the way, Mak...thanks for offering to renew it :) As you stated, it should have been automatically renewed as it has been for the past 13 years. There are a bunch of small businesses that are really hung out to dry from what I read about the situation. Sounds like Lori gave you the story...

    Radar Detectors??

Any legitimate test always has the Valentine way out front. That guy that does the radar site works for Escort as an consultant and also at fimes for others, but, not Valentine. Laser is hard for anything to detect altho I have picked it up a couple of times. I have owned several brands...

IS a 4200 stasll to loose for me

Assuming the AC converter in the car is a non lock up, the tranny will have to be put back to original to handle the lock up, I believe.

IS a 4200 stasll to loose for me

Depends what it stalls with your combo, I think. 3400 seems to be on the bottom edge of what I think a 63 needs. Doug made a good point above as the looser the converter, the more rpm you really need to get out of the slip zone. With your current converter, if you are going about 50 mph, or...

IS a 4200 stasll to loose for me

I would get an honest tach to find out what you are turning rpmwise. That turbo would probably work better with a tighter converter in the 3600-3800 rpm range at say 10# of boost, imo. 3.90s seem a mismatch to me as well when it comes to all around performance tho some have made them work.

    72s=what chip?

The ME runs very well on the defaults right out of the box. Tuning is easy. I have three of them-one of which is the R version on 75# injectors. You don't need a guru to set it up for you, but, like all things, the more effort you put into learning how the various functions interact, the more...

    Max Effort chip tuning

Kevin has it nailed well. The only other thing that needs to be mentioned are the two prerequisites for getting the car into the wot curves. First the car has to shift at, or higher, than the rpm point spec'd for your chip, and, the maf numbers have to reach the number programmed in the...

    Ladder Bar vs. 4-Link (Long)

Bob, you prefer ladder bars on the street on a Regal, or on your Camaro? :)

Shorted the Alt to valve cover

Wait til you have done it with a metal watch band. One quickly learns why they repeatedly tell you not to wear such things when working. Amazing how quickly the band turns red and the stench of burnt flesh fills the air. It should be okay...the car, not the arm. :)

    dexcool? whats wrong with it?

http://www.dexcoolcase.com/ Most suggestions I have seen are as stated by the prior poster. If you have it in the car, make sure it stays at the full mark, or fuller.

    Murky coolant, over and over

If it is sludgy/muddy, it is probably Dexcool. If it is a milkshake as you get from oil in the water (or vice versa), you might find a cracked oil cooler in the radiator. In the latter case, the oil level in the pan will drop faster than you expect.

    C-116 loss of power

yep...you can tweak the fueling leaner at launch, build more boost against the brake before launch....or run less octane if you don't need C16 for the boost you are running. Some have mixed some Sunoco in with it as it seems to spool a bit better.
