I'm trying to decide whether to paint an '87 TTYpe that is currently the factory dark gray (gun metal gray?) or a lighter silver that was offered. I think the darker color looks more aggressive... but the lighter color when done right looks great too! The car has the W02 black out trim package.

HEre is a very nice silver TTYpe:

and another:

and the gun metal gray color:

once again (I really like this one):

If you can say which one you like the best also!

I used to have a burgundy "T" the same color as this one with beige/brown cloth interior and regret selling it so I'm building another:

I always liked the gun metal gray color. I had a GTA TA once that was that color. I loved it.

#3 and #4. I have always loved that color. I like the silver to but the dark grey I love! My car is suppose to be the gunmetal grey but the original owner which I bought it from decided he would be different:rolleyes: and painted it black:confused: When I get ready to repaint it it will be repainted back to the original color!:D ;)

Go with the grey, I saw a twin turbo regal that color at the muscle car nationals in Col. Oh. this summer and it looked really GOOD.

Silver without question.

The first photos looks absolutely awesome. The lighter color gives the car a classy look and the design gives it the agressive half. The dark gun-metal gives an agressive/agressive look. If you want that get a GN. That's what I always appreciated about the T's, class mixed with bad-to-the-bone design. I was in the market for a white T-Type for a little while for the mix of class/bad-azz styling.

Go with the silver.....

Very nice, but as I said earlier the darker the color the more sinister the car looks, so it depends on the style you're looking for.

I believe the lighter colors with white being at the top give the car a more luxurious appearance. The style of the car (hood, WO2, fat tires, dual exhaust) give the car the agressive styling. Which is why the GN is all black giving it the most sinister look available. The look you're trying to acheive is what'll determine your color choice (and personal preference of course....oh, and the wife).

Keep it original.

Silver looks better with chrome.

Gray looks better with the blackout package.
