Help us build "Nasty Wendy 2"- AKA "The Phonix"

I see that MKX floor mat!! A fellow lincoln lover!!

That's the wife's ride. Great vehicle indeed.

I used a ceramic clear header paint.on my up pipe and intake. Used a scotch Bright pad to get out the blemishes and give it some texture. I'll get pictures this afternoon.

Yes pics please. My throttle body, plenum, and intake all have the natural aluminum finish and the heads on the engine will be aluminum as well.

The up pipe was rubbed with scotch bright pad before painted. I like the finished look of it better than then intake pipe that was not sanded. So I will be redoing all the pieces. There are some blemishes of over spray. It's hard to see how it applying when its clear.
Hard to tell from the pictures but there is a difference.

That is a super fine natural finish. I will have to give that a lot of thought. Only problem would be that my intake piping is polished which I think will necessitate the need to paint it to change the look. Not sure if it can be 'un' polished.

I guess I better 'hold my horses'. The car is slowing me down. I can't get into the IC piping right now. My alternator isn't charging. The alt is good and I have the resistor bulb in so I'm going to have to take out the instrument cluster and clean up the contacts. The bulb does not come on with the key on engine off. I'll check the fuse first but I'm planning on having to take out the instrument cluster and clean those contacts.

Alternator is charging!! I pulled the instrument cluster and cleaned the printed circuit board, bulbs, and sockets. Checked all fuses 10 times. Turns out that I did a boo-boo when I reassembled the alternator after I tore it down to clean it. I posted it in the Tech section.

I did the volt meter in the dummy light cluster mod. I think it came out pretty good. I wanted an amber display to match the factory boost display and tach. The tach has amber lights on the numbered positions. I used 20% window tint not the the peel and cling but real window tint and it looks perfect to me. Can't tell anything is different with power off. It worked out nicer than I thought it would. Its perfectly lit, not to bright in the dark and bright enough to be easily seen with light shining on it (daylight simulation).

Turn the key and you get volts displayed in the window that used to say 'Washer Fluid'.

When you get your new FAST...invest in the new Scanmaster 3. It's nice to be able to scroll thru the engine without a laptop.

Yeah I forgot how convenient it is to have a scanmaster until it was time to reset my TPS. Man its nice to not have to tap wires with a meter and to move between items with a touch of a button.

Well the weather is not good for painting so I'll hold off on the IC piping and start hanging the exhaust. My good MAF sensor was found lounging in a pile of stuff in Pittsburgh so I'm waiting on that to get down here before I do anymore engine running/tuning stuff. This exhaust should keep me occupied for a couple of days.

Glad it's going well for ya buddy. Listen I have a 3.5 inch LS2 MAF that I got from Eric at turbo tweak last year. If you need it let me know and it's yours and I'll get it in the mail :)

I'm clarifying that I'm setting TPS with a meter now because I don't have a scanmaster anymore. I'm not buying one to only have it for less than a week because the FAST will go on as soon as its running without issues. I'll get that SM3.

Thanks man. I don't use or have a translator but my working MAF was sent up to Shawn's place when you all took the burned car. He is sending it to me so I'll have one when the box gets delivered. And this won't stay on the car long at all. The FAST will go on very shortly after it going good.

Started the car with mufflers on it and I forgot how much I liked the sound of this exhaust. I picked up a set of tail pipes on ebay for it because the system isn't made anymore so I have to make a new set work. One of the orginal tailpipes was damaged by the moving company that transported the car from GBP after the fire. The new tails are mandrel pieces welded to shape. I think I'm going to have to cut them at one of the welds and have them re-welded at the proper angle for my car. Have to find somewhere that can weld stainless. I think I know where I can go for this as I had this fellow weld a new aluminum elbow on my intercooler that was damaged by that moving company. When the MAF gets here I'll post another video of the car with the engine running (revving and idling) to share with ya'll the sound of the exhaust.

Look at this Bad Assed Fender Cover at work. This thing is really nice.

My Christmas gift to myself was to record a through the mufflers start up so that I can put on my headphones and listen to this ALL NIGHT if I want to. :joyful: The phone fell during the video and muffled the mic a bit....guess I'll have to make a better one soon.:)

Thats some Good porn!!!:D

I've gotten several more things done. I've stopped posting pics and updates here because of the build thread that Scot is doing. When he gets it up to where I took over I'll put up everything I have. I am plugging away at it.

The engine sounds good.
Actually sounds like mine not to loud and not to quiet, just right.

Great work on the car.

Keep at it even if just 30 minutes at a time and before you know it there won't be anything left to do.
