New GN powered Mustang project

starting a project thats in the works, im goin to put a bunch of pics and keep this project updated when progress is made. I have a 89 notchback that has been threw quite a few ford motors which iv come to conlusion are all junk. i have almost everything needs for the conversion and the motor is being built soon. i hope this project goes fairly smooth and dont see to many hard things to fabricate in the near future and advice will be appreciated tho.

just would like to give a special thanks to the brains behind the the build ryan (1985GN) on the board and nick (turbotwister) for building the foundation.

I'm just curious why you say all Ford engines are junk. Did you use a good race block (Dart, Boss, R302, A4) These are awesome blocks and would take tons of punishment with good forge internals. It's neat to see a turbo V6 in a Mustang but I still think a big V8 motor with a turbo rules. I have both an 86 Buick T Type and a Turbocharged Fox Body Mustang. I love both of them. The Buick is my stout street car and my Mustang is my race car. Anyways, Good Luck with your project. Car looks good.

ur right but my pockets didnt like the idea of the aftermarket block lol. this build is to be more streetable with stock block and still on some what of a budget. and in the end i wanted to be as different s possable. thanks tho heres a pic of of my last set up.

it was a 342 stroker with a t-trim and all forged interenals id say a 9.90 car

What does a 'Stang with a Buick V6 weigh?

I'm hoping for under 3,000 but not to sure now with having V-6 springs in the front that didn't work so I had to go back to the 5.0 GT front springs to get the front end to sit level with the lowered rear. And when doing a project like this then a manual brake set-up should be looked into because the Mustang brake booster is right up against the valve cover and makes it a pain in the you know what to get it off. On mine though I have the cage and frame conectors and went out to the rockers and put tubing there to make it stronger yet.

buickcamaro car look really good wish i has filled all the holes in the engine bay like u did but way to much work then i wanna go threw lol and really like the wing u fabbed on the hatch. good luck with it

i know im not getting in the car on its first 30psi pass...predicting 147mph or better trap speeds and there is no cage in the car just yet, lol
