Hmmmm... where's the FLEXFUEL label gonna fit on that back bumper??
Great looking car! I was running 22 psi and 25-56 degs timing on my White Stocker, you'll love the e-85.
I did however find out on my case that the car liked the warmer themostat ( 190 ), especially in the winter.
Aren't the turbo-tweak parts tax deductible as part of a bio-fuel conversion????
Bob-O look into that would ya??
Any more pics of your car. sweet color. good luck on the e-85. Im saving to do it on mine
Dont forget to look into the IL E85 fuel tax rebate- from what I understand you can keep your receipts and send them into Springfield for your rebate. I have never heard anyone say that it can only be for a factory FFV.
thanks! here's a couple more pics...
The color is what got me interested in the car. It was kinda rough when I got it almost 10 yrs ago, I might not have bought the car if it weren't for the light blue.
I just checked Erics website and the 80's are already out of stock!
We called the state of Illinois 3 years ago when Austin and I did the swaps to E85, our cars did not qualify for the rebate back then.
I like E85, the detonation resistance is really nice.
Cold starts and warm up are not as smooth as gas, but not too bad.
I wonder if a hotter plug might help some, the thermostat is a decent idea also.
