    GN vs Benz v-8 Compressor

The SL600 in Car & Driver did 0-60 in 3.6 and the quarter in 11.9. Not bad for a car that is 4,400 lbs. I do agree with onefastjackass about build quailty and high way speed. My 500E will cruise at 240kph (150 mph) all day long. I was coming from a late appointment one night and there was no one...

    GN vs Benz v-8 Compressor

It could have been... .....an SLK 32 AMG. This is a 6 cylinder Kompressor motor with 349 hp stock. I really like my new Benz but I sure miss my 87 GN. I hope to get a GNX one day. GN's are still by far king of the street! Cheers guys! Shaun

    Thanks for the Memories

Hello TR people. I just wanted to say thanks for all the good advice and friendly chats over the last year and a half. I sold my car for a family unit. I picked up a 1992 500E Mercedes Benz. In some ways it is like a GN where it was a sleeper and you will still get the "whatever Grandpa" look...

    Setting boost....

Hey guys and gals. I have a boost controller between my actuator and turbo housing. The car is running great but I would like to dial it in right. Is there a specific gear you should set it in because of the different loads of 1, 2, and 3? It spikes in first (Thrasher chip) and settles to 18, 16...

    Bad Mass Air????

Get the Thrasher If you don't know what chip it is, the Thrasher is a cheap $25.00 fix to do like Eric said. E-mail Scott Simpson on this board and he can set you up. He was very pleasant to deal with and I am very happy with the chip. From there, start tuning and enjoy!!! :D Shaun

Got to meet a WW2 vet tonight

Cool story TBON8TR When I worked at the Vancouver Golf Club, I used to talk to a gentleman (I mean that in every respect off the word) who flew Hurricanes for the RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) in WW2. He told me he finished with 2 kills but he definately didn't boast. He knew he was killing...

    Supercomps vs. aerochambers

My car currently has the Hooker Cat back with the Super Comp Mufflers. My intermediate pipes are fine but the tail pipes are terrible. I will be getting new tailpipes bent so my question is, should I keep the Super Comps or swith to Aerochambers? My current mufflers are in good shape so this...

    Duttweiler neck

Hello "The KING" I got my neck from Kirban Performance. I noticed quicker spool but you should look at what you want to do with your car. The stocker is easy into the 12's and some people have gone into the high 11's. There is an installation on www.gnttype.org that explains how to weld one on...

Thanks Clayton I will give them a call. Have fun in Everett as well. I have a wedding to go to this weekend so I have to miss it. I would of loved to have him use my car as a ginnui (sp?) pig. Shaun

    Need opinions....

Thanks again Thanks again Salvage. I will try to find a used one on this board. If anyone has one great! Mike! Nice to hear from ya! I like the idea of the "stock" system because the muffler is up high with only pipe under the passenger compartment where the mufflers go with the Hooker and...
