    Midplates

    What kind of motor mounts do you use with a midplate? Stock? I was considering leaving the motor mounts out and reinforcing the midplate to support the engine front to back. I'm building a tube race car.

    What timing cover would I need to get. I'm running that aftermarket cover, I think I got it at Bowling Green or some company like that. That was last year.

    Does that Edelbrock intake for the 231 fit the aluminum heads? I know there were some head changes and that intake doesn't fit all of the heads and their web page doesn't specify. Not sure if the aluminum heads are angled like the later heads or the earlier.

    So that 3.8 with the distributor in the back and the non-BOP trans bolt pattern uses a similar water pump to the Buick 3.8?

    What FWD cars used the Buick 3.8? I've only seen that GM 3.8 in FWD cars. I already cut the snout off a bit with a cut-off wheel.

    How much weight do you save with an aluminum block? With aluminum heads?

    Is there a shorter water pump available? The stock water pump sticks out about an inch past the pulleys and I could use that space.
