    Stoichiometric AFR for Isopropyl Alcohol

Monitor in Lambda (voltage) instead of AFR. Lambda is the same for all fuels, and you shoot for the same 0.780-0.800's that you do when using the stock narrowband sensor readings. For example, stoich for denatured alcohol is ~9:1 AFR, that will be 1.0 Lambda, whereas on gasoline the accepted...

Build it yourself, window and full throttle switch

Here's a LINK to a schematic that is an adjustable TPS activated relay switch. I don't have any directions on how to build it, someone else might be able to help with that. You could build two of these circuits and wire one into the NC side of a relay for the shut off or upper limit. HTH's -Chuck

I am sorry to announce, for those who would like to reply

My boss just had a similar operation for a disc in his neck that was compressing his spinal cord (X-ray looked nasty). He was actually back out here at work (visiting only) about 3 days after the operation. He was fully back to work in about 6 weeks, they had told him he would be out 12-16...

    Neat alky article

Razor... look into the Flex fuel vehicles that GM produces. They have alcohol compatible fuel systems. Also may investigate South American applications as they run a lot of alcohol fuels down there. Don't know if you can just go to your local GM dealer and ask for them, but imagine if you had a...

    Help! Unknown Material

Most all the valve guides we have here are cast iron (I think). I didn't use any lube, or have any trouble with sticking. As far as long term effect of not using lube I can't say, other than it worked great for about 15K miles. Traded the car off and put the stock turbo back on. -Chuck

    Help! Unknown Material

When I built a swing valve housing for my turbo, I used a valve guide out of a Cat engine. It happened to fit the swing valve shaft and we had them in stock (since I work at a Cat dealer). Can't remember what the application was, but I'm thinking it was for a 3116 engine. I do know a 3306 engine...

Good deal on new car guy?

Is that guy still on here, supposed to be able to get reeally good deals on new cars/financing. Can't remember his name, used to have something about it in his sig. Seemed to be a pretty good deal. I'm looking into getting a new vehicle and was curious what he could do for me. Maybe he'll post...

Anyone have the June 1995 Hot Rod Magazine?

Don't mean to sound condescending, but you might try your local library. Prolly even let you color copy it. HTH's -Chuck

Home made deep oil pan - 2004r

oil pan I have made 2 "deep" sump pans for mine. The first one I took the bottom 3" from a Ford 2.3L 4-cyl oil pan and welded it to the sump of the trans pan(worked OK, just ugly). The last one I made was completely fabricated, pan rails and all. Rails were outta 5/16" steel bar stock and the...

Water injection experiment. Washer fluid instead of water...

I have had good luck running washer fluid in my WRX. course its through an M10 nozzle at about 85psi. turn on point at about 12 psi. boost. Sounds like you have too small of a nozzle. -Chuck

I need to change bell housing patterns...

Fresh from the GM dealer across the street. In case anyone wants to know... The "new" 4L60E has a two piece case, similar to the manual trans of yesterday. The bell housing bolts to the main case of the transmission. So at least I have something to go on now. That particular piece lists new at...

I need to change bell housing patterns...

Test fit an old 250C I had laying around. NO dice. I was lucky the dowel pin holes lined up. Those are the only holes that "work". None of the other holes are even remotely close. I've got a couple of pics if anyone is interested, post or e-mail me. I guess I'm gonna need to find someone...

I need to change bell housing patterns...

According to This Link The Trailblazer is listed as an application (4th one down the list on the left). Since the 4.2L I-6 is the only engine offered in that vehicle, I'd say that's the only trans available also. Gonna try to mock up a core trans tonight and see if it will work. If it doesn't...

I need to change bell housing patterns...

Chris, how did you attach the housing to the AOD (that's on your site). Is it bolted to the case somehow or is it welded on. If I can get the proper case for my engine, could we just hack off the bell housing and stick it on the 200 case. I never figured this would be a problem, those...
