I’m not sold on a ring/piston problem. if the skirts are good and pistons are still sized right to the bore there Is no reason they cannot be re-used.

Plug the PCV hose and go for a ride (after cleaning up any oil from the breathers) and see if you still end up with oil out of the breathers

The video I just watched doesn’t show pressure out of the breathers at an alarming rate. Looks like burnoff to me. But it is a video and I am not standing there. As I posted earlier, as it’s doing what is seen in the video rev the throttle if it picks up to much quicker rate there is a...

Condensation generates in a motor is from cool nights, on engine cool down. Once the temp stay warm though the night you will see little if any condensation burn off.

IF IT IS A head gasket and the problem showed it face at 300 miles than i would say you are not on the hook for anything. A lot can happpen in 300 Miles. Again from the original video I saw it doesn’t even look like blow by to me.

Watching his video though IMO (from the video) I do not see blow by at all. Up here in the North East we get quite a bit of condensation in our motors and as they warm up if you watch the breathers you will see the condensation burning off though the breathers as it warms up. This is totally...

Blow by at an idle is typically ring seal or a blown head gasket. for all these guys bringing up a bad PCV valve, a bad PCV valve cannot cause blow by while idling or reving the car. Your PCV valve is under vacuum in these conditions not pressure. It is actually pulling some of the blow by...

Didn’t offend me nor do I have an axe to grind with you as I do not know you. I offered to look at the original posters car to help him diagnose it. It was never my intention to help him just to find a reason to talk crap about you.

I see we’re he said he wants to help but now the original poster has to wait until possibly 2020 before he can get to it. IF it’s the builders fault that is understandable, but if it’f Found to be a problem created by the build making the guy wait maybe a year just to get to it is unacceptable...

    Using a 4L80 question

Have a guy I am helping that should be running TSM this year and we have a transmission question. The rules says “ no aftermarket automated shift actuation” When using a automatic 4L80 with TCI Trans Controller the transmission is essence is an automated Shift actuation. Do the rules makers...

    Logging Coolant Pressure?

Logging coolant pressure is a must in my eyes. It MAY save you from tearing shit up. Lets say you typically see 10#s of pressure and the next pass you see 20#s. (Temperatures being equal or close) That pretty much will be telling you that your head I lifting and pushing compression/boost in to...
