    Cold Case Radiator Top Plate

Update on my Cold Case radiator! I'm still in the finishing up phase on my Turbo T Limited and now have about 100 miles on it. I came out and found a 6 foot puddle of green under the car. It is naturally the center tube (3 cores) and the radiator shop says the only way to "fix" it is to recore...

Engine, backfiring and sputtering while using cruise control

Vacuum leak in the cruise diaphragm? It changes position when it's holding the throttle open and doesn't have vacuum on it unless activated. TIMINATOR

Hypothetical question about running a blow through setup (carbed intake) but retaining cam sensor/coils

Use an aftermarket aluminum intake, not the stock one..... TIMINATOR

I'd like to see a Cruz passenger side header if someone can post up a pic. TIMINATOR

Add T/A race headers to your buy list. NOT street headers. Detail collector on drivers side and detail pass side welds and where tubes come into common tube. Sometimes the pass side tubes stick into the common tube as much as 3/8". Other than that they are beautiful! I made a heat deflector...

    Head Porting do's and don'ts

I use T/A race headers as the pass side street header is poop. and not much better than the stock one and has the same serious imbalance on cyl. #6. I also port the transitions and welds too. More difference than porting and the race headers also raise the convertor stall a bit too. TIMINATOR

    Head Porting do's and don'ts

For an experienced porter, yes. You may hurt the flow or cause the guide boss to eventually crack, or both. You might want to price and check availability before you make up your mind. TIMINATOR

    Head Porting do's and don'ts

A multi angle valvejob by a GOOD shop makes as much or more power as a GOOD backyard port job when used with a stock cam. Below about .200" lift, the flow has almost nothing to do with the port, its all about the valvejob (number of angles, angles themselves, valve underhead shape, back cuts, if...

picked up a rough 87 Grand National - how to approach project?

I wish!!!!! Bought it for about double that in 2019. It had fresh body and paint, freshly tinted windows, good tires, near new turbo, fresh engine (by what turned out to be a "lesser grade" machineshop, and kicked out both headgaskets within 12 miles!) functioning A/C, new aluminum radiator...

picked up a rough 87 Grand National - how to approach project?

Sell it to someone you are mad at or part it out, and find another project car closer to your end goal. These cars contain so many rare, unavailable, and specialized parts that you don't have and I would guess you can't afford or you wouldn't have bought this car, hopefully inexpensively. Its...

    Cold Case Radiator Top Plate

There are lots of cheaper than $300.00 radiators out there that fit as well as some "stock replacement" units. I have had a Speedmaster/Procomp radiator in my 1972 440 Challenger since 1997! It was around $125.00 then. It finally corroded thru the bottom of the hotside tank about 2 months ago...

    Cold Case Radiator Top Plate

Same issues with mine. Except following the wiring "instructions", resulted in the fans blowing air backwards towards the FRONT of the car! Switching the wires made the air flow correctly towards the engine, but the blades were now operating inefficiently off the backside of the blades...

    helium

The off road racers have been experimenting for years with lighter gasses to inflate their giant tires for weight savings. Seems the latest trend is inflating racing tires with vacuum, it saves a ton of weight per tire, and Harbor Freight sells the pumps very reasonably priced. It's easy to...
