P.S. I set my preload .030/.035 UP FROM THE BOTTOM. The block and heads "grow" away from the cam so the preload is always less with the engine at running temperature. Lifter preload
Unless lifters are specifically reduced or short travel, Hydraulic roller or Hydraulic flat tappet lifters typically have .120" to .130" of travel. The deeper the preload, the more power is produced. As oil temps rise, thinner viscosity oil is used, synthetic oil is used, rpms go up, boost...- TIMINATOR

Looking for HID lights
Holley Lite brights look stock, are LED, work well and are seriously overpriced! About double or more what others are. Mine cost about $800 for the four of them! Would I buy them again? I bought a new seat transmission housing, my housing was disintegrated in a bazillion pieces. Apparently I am missing the drive gear that attaches to the coupler (I bought the coupler too). Anybody know where to get one? TIMINATOR- TIMINATOR

Power plate install question

Keep in mind that the slipprey, low friction, gear oils that promise "more HP to the rear wheels" also diminish the effectiveness of the posi clutches, as do the "anti chatter" posi additives. Lo friction of the gears and bearings, is also lo friction on the posi plates. Exactly opposite of what...- TIMINATOR

Cold Case Radiator Top Plate
Update on my Cold Case radiator! I'm still in the finishing up phase on my Turbo T Limited and now have about 100 miles on it. I came out and found a 6 foot puddle of green under the car. It is naturally the center tube (3 cores) and the radiator shop says the only way to "fix" it is to recore...- TIMINATOR

Engine, backfiring and sputtering while using cruise control
Vacuum leak in the cruise diaphragm? It changes position when it's holding the throttle open and doesn't have vacuum on it unless activated. TIMINATOR- TIMINATOR
