Friends - need help with a web poll, today only, 11/30/11

TR friends, A few years ago I bought a 1964 Buick Riviera for my parents (really my dad, he had a 65 that he loved). I had submitted his car for "I Love My Car" on channel 7 Chicago's segment. His car was chosen and is now up for "Car of the Month". All I need is a vote from every computer...

Wireless help! Help me be a hero!

They may have MAC address filtering on - what that does is only allow traffic out to the internet if the network card has a MAC address that matches a predefined list. Its old school security - the reality is - anyone with a brain can spoof their MAC and bypass that..... Do you have ANY...

What motor, found a late 60's early 70's LeSabre

The 401/425 series of engines were referred to as the "nailhead" motors. The began using that design in the 50s in various displacements - and it ran until 1966. I myself am restoring a 63 Riviera for my dad with a 401 nailhead. They are famous among hotrodders for GOBS of torque - but not...

What motor, found a late 60's early 70's LeSabre

If its 69 and down, its either a 340 or 430. if its 70 and up, its a 350 or 455. Usually in the lesabre the 340/350 would have had a 4 barrell carb - which someone might have ripped off to put on their 340/350 2 barrell in their Skylark.... At least thats what i did. Until that got boring...

Well, my thoughts of getting back into a TR are done for a while....

Well, it has a few more since I got it. But, its right around 38,000 miles now. It was so much fun today. You know - I never liked speeding or being unsafe. On residential streets, parking garages, I am usually more like a pace car, doing the speed limit, and having cars in a big line...

Well, my thoughts of getting back into a TR are done for a while....

I am not sure on that. This dealership is fairly recently built. It started as "Villa Park Chevy" - then a few months later it was Castle. The dealership where its at cant be more then 2 or 3 years old. Never saw any Buicks there....

Well, my thoughts of getting back into a TR are done for a while....

I was concerned that it might have been hit and someone put the 05 hood on it. The GTO forum confirmed this was an "SAP" car. The late 04s all got a special hood, grill fillers, and spoiler in an attempt to move the 04s off the showroom floor when the 05s with the 400hp LS2 hit the...

Great. We had to go to a party last night.... The wife and both kids fell asleep while I drove the car - it is so comfortable and quiet. Until I slam down the skinny pedal... ;)
