a friend of mine has a set of 17x7 front and 17x8 rear torque thrust 2 rims for sale for $600.00. they are new in box. i told him i'd get back to him cause i dint know if 0 offset would work.

0 offset will yeild 3.5" back spacing on the 7" wide ones and 4" BS on the 8" wide ones. so... They sound like they should work fine. I run the 3.5" BS wheels all around and they fit great. The rears can obviously accept a larger tire which should be fine as it will set in towards the frame more on the 4" BS rear wheels. Just don't go larger than a 245/45/17 in rear to be safe. 275/40/17 *might* fit in back, but you better mount them up at a place that will exchange that size for a smaller tire in case they rub inside against the frame.

Hope this helps,

17s will really enhance the looks of the car but whatever you do, do not plan on running 17" DRs. I have gone from consistent low-1.60s with 275/50-15s to a best of 1.82 or completely blowing away 275/40-17s. The shorter, stiffer sidewall absolutely kills any chance of hooking up if you are making decent power.

ya i know 17" drags are pretty much worhtless, this is more for looks.
