2 quick questions.

Why am i getting 2 different readings on the tps with scanmaster.
tps car off .38 and car idling .42...

Also i unplugged my 02 and it still read on the scanmaster. Why is that??????

Just curious..

Thanks

voltage diff on the tps(alternator running)

you are getting garbage readings with the 02 unplugged

Cool thanks for the info,

So how is a good way to determine if your 02 is bad if either way it bounces around with numbers/??

With that said Azgn, which is the proper way? Tuning with key on (car off) or the other method, car running? I just discovered this also the other day, however, I forgot about until I cam across this post.

Thanks,

Dannyo

well, it really doesn't matter as long as you are close...and trust me, it would be hell to set the WOT tps with the car running....so just keep setting it with the motor off

as regards the 02........you should be getting a lot of action in the 02 cross counts section of your scan tool if the sensor is good...other than a code, it is difficult to say when they die, but generally low cross counts, crappy running, and bad fuel economy is a clue:)
