I am looking for some 030 pistons Or maybe .020 over. I am waiting on machine shop to get back with me. , low mileage and good used ones would work. This gasket change is getting expensive.

I wouldn't mind stock replacements if they were as strong as reinforced OEM pistons. I also wouldn't mind upgrading if the cost was reasonable. My block is at machine shop and I am waiting for him to let me know if I need 020 or 030. If I find a good deal I will bore to fit.

I'll be ordering a set of forged for my 4.1 today or tomorrow. I can make you some slugs in any size you'd like. If your machine shop can clean up your bores with just a hone job, my pistons will save you the cost of a bore job.

A set of 6 with pins and locks is $450 right now.

They're forged 4032. I chose that metal since it has less thermal expansion than 2618. I hate a ''rattley'' engine unless it's an all out racecar.

Since they might be able to get you out of a bore job, it might be cost effective for you to just go with new slugs. Just make sure whatever you're minimum clean up bore is will have rings to match. Those can come with either 1.5/1.5/3.0mm or 1/16,1/16,3/16. On common sized both are available, but on certain bores you have to go with one or the other.

It is going to be nest week until I find out about my block. The shop has a contract with the city street department and they have a rush job so I got bumped.

If Darth Buick passes, I wish I would of seen these before I ended up with sealed power .30 over, had to drill the oil passage for the wrist pins and with rings have as much as your charging for a good custom piston..... very nice work

I'm pretty proud of them. I had a warm dry day last week so I pulled my 4.1 out so I can finally toss my Federal Mogul hypers.

I wish I would have came up with these before I needed them! lol
