What Would Cause My 500 Mile Trans To Flair On 1 2 Wot Shift I Have All The Good Parts In It ..clutchs ,band ,boost Valves ,etc 1 2 3 Gear 270 Psi....adjusted Tv As To Specs Help
 
Do you have a aftermarket 65-70 t-b?
And have about 1/4in of your black plastic slider sticking out of the TV cable? (opposite side of the bracket) Verify under the hood by hand the TV cable does not reset itself.
 
Stock throttle body..I have 5 notches out pointing toward firewall, i just reset and it went to the same postion ,,the inner steel cable is pulling on the tv valve tightly at wot.....i have a 3 inch deep pan with a pts custom copper pipe pickup and mesh strainer ...if the seal in the trans where the pickup fits was sucking some air,could this cause this problem....there is a flair but when it hits it hits hard
 
How fast is ur car.

U might be making too much power for the build level of that trans. I had the same problem last year, and after upgrading the trans to handle low 11 second passes the trans has been flawless.
 
try overfilling it a bit. 1/2 or 1 full quart. The big pumps tend to suck the pan dry at high RPM.

if you dont get the flair on the 2/3 shift there is a leak in the oil supply to the band or and obstruction to flow in the circuit.install a pressure gage and see if there is a drop in pressure during the shift and if so how much psi it is.this is not a common problem to have by itself.if it is by itself and all else is well the 2nd circuit suffers from what i previously said
 
CHRIS problem seems to have started when i installed a f body radiator and a bar and plate trans cooler,,,there are no kinks in my cooler lines
