when i rebuilt my 2004r i installed a a superior shift kit and changed all kinds of springs and valves. Now i have lost the instructions and the car shifts to damn hard for me. Especialy the 1-2 shift. Now they have have you install the spring into the housing and the piston on top, and it sits next to the valve body. Perhaps making it obsolete. Would going to the normal way of the piston in the houseing and the spring on top make it shift a lil nicer? Even if you bring it slightly above idle and it shifts, feels like somethings going to brake. Also thier is metalic what not around the magnet. its got only around 2500-3000 miles on it. Is this normal? Maybe its the kolene steels?

thanks, Ian Arthur

The accumulator is what your talking about. The kit probably had you put in a tighter wound spring to limit travel (raises apply pressure to the servo faster) Putting a GN spring in there would "Help" to soften it, but I dought much (might delay the apply a little). The kit had you drill out the feed holes did it? Doing so allows a faster apply. Only way to reverse that is a new spacer plate...

Might want to get a hold of bruce(WE4) or chris (chris718) about this. They can help you alot.
