1-2nd shift

I recently had my 200 4-R rebuilt and have a tranny cooler and D5 conveter from bruce. When i first start the car after a long period of time and go it take a long time for it to shift from 1st to 2nd but after the first time its fine after that. Is this a problem or is it just from the tranny being cold? The TV cable is set properly. Any help would be great.

if have seen this before and w/out grtting in to specifics (its about 12 am)things to check are inadequate atf viscosity ,binding governor weights ,misalined plate or gaskets ,sticky 1-2 shift valve or tv valve ,sticky tv valve the list goes on .so much for not getting into specifics. get a bottle of ford differential additive for positraction rear end and see if it helps .its available at your local ford dealer.let us know what happens .this may also firm up the shift quality too .an added bonus .
