That REALLY sucks dude!!! I hate hearing about yet another one of these cars getting stolen from an owner (seems it happens way too often)...... I will keep my eyes open for you and I seriously hope you get your car back or at least (worst case scenario) you get every penny out of it from the insurance company!:(

God damn thieves they are the biggest scumbag low life mother F_ckers:mad:

Kenny, I am sorry man. It sucks when you can't even have decent driver without some a**hole taking it from you.:(
I hope the headgaskets are wasted for sure now.

damn! thats ****ty. it was a nice car!

its been on my desktop ever since you posted your new pics and vidios from the track :(

i hope it turns up

That totally bites. I have the same color and blackout so when you posted those pics I was psyced that mine would look and go as good as yours. I hope you get it back in repairable shape.:(

It took only 3 days for them to try to steal my GN when I moved out columbus. They came back and back again. Never got it, I just ended up with a repeatedly broken steering column and a drilled out door.

Start cruising just east of campus looking for it.

If anything, I think the things that will be easiest to spot are the turbo (has a flange for an external waste gate, never see many Buick's with it). Intercooler, has dented pipes due to owner before me curbing it. Wheels, I have NEVER seen another set of these wheels on ANY car.

Hopefully something shows up somewhere, but I really am not expecting to see it again.

:(

Kenny, I met you at Marion County (Larue) this summer. Real sorry to hear about your loss. That sure is a good looking car. Would it do you any good to put a few folders of photos together and drop them off at larger police precincts around Columbus that they may throw wherever they hang out when not on the road? Just a suggestion. Maybe if there were more eyes on the police dept. that know it's missing and what it looks like. Wish you luck. John R.

Might be a good idea.

I think I'm going to stick a sign up at Jegs.

I honestly don't think I'll ever see the car again. :(

... looks like I'll be searching for cars to buy at Bowling Green instead of enjoying mine.

I think I would put an ad in the local newspapers in both the personals and the cars for sale section. REWARD $1000 for info to recover my stolen car and give a description of car and where it was stolen from and say no questions asked, I just want to find my car or who took it. When my Chevy 4x4 got stolen I did that and took pictures with a description to the local police depts and parts stores and tire shops.
:( But unfortunately I never found it again. :(
Lost $2400. and had receipts for everything extra I had put on that truck.

Sorry to hear about your car Ken.

Here are some things that I did while waiting, which made me feel like I was doing something:

-call insurance co
-post on all the boards- TB, TBs, gnttype, gbody.org, gmforums, gnregistry... plus any local boards or clubs
-cancel EZ Pass
-try to list what personal stuff you had in the car and the replacement cost
-if you lost a V-1 or Escort, report it stolen
-send an email to every speed shop in the area with your VIN
-posting at parts stores like JEGS is good, but might be overwhelming

I'm also curious what theft deterrents you had.

Again, I hope they find it for you soon.

Hey Kenny, If you start looking for another car and see one in my neck of the woods I would be glad to check it out for you.

Thanks Chris. Probably won't start looking until spring, no point in buying one now just to put it away for the winter.

Just curious, has the insurance company been giving you a hard time. What are you gonna drive for the winter. Don't tell me you still have that El Camino.

Need to buy a daily driver, was planning on picking one up in the next few weeks. Looking for a late 80's 3800 car (like a Park Ave or something).

Still have the El Camino, haven't really been trying to sell it. Half sold it, got free money and haven't cared since. It will be on eBay soon for next to nothing.

As for the insurance company, haven't said much to them. My agent told me to get a bunch of reciepts and pictures ready, which I have already done. We'll see how that goes... not looking forward to it.
