I'm just in the process of installing a Moser 9" Ford rear end that came with 11 inch Torino drum brakes.

Has anyone done this before and how did it work. I'm concerned with rear wheel lock up.

Would an adjustable proportioning valve be all that's required. If so, shoud I remove the stock GN prop valve.

Any experiences and advise is welcomed as my new stage 2 combination should take me well into the 140 mph in the quarter mile.

Thanks,

George

III's 87 GN

Are you using your car mainly on the street or do you race it. I'd be primarily interested in how it stops at high speeds

That's great, thanks for the reply. We'll see how it works on my car

George,

I have the 11" brakes on my car sice i went to the Ford ends to eliminate the c-clips. They are great. Able to hold more boost and the car slows down alot quicker from 125 mph.

I do have an adjustable prop valve but I have it adjusted so most of the pressure goes to the rear anyways since the car only sees the track. You may want to get one of those if you are going to be doing any street driving. That way you can have one setup for the street and one for the track.

I need help with my setup. I used the 11" brakes for the same reason. I have a setup similar and can't hold the car on the line. I can just get to 2650 rpm's with 0 boost and starts to push through the beams. However, if I set the park brake and rev the sucker up I get tons more rpm's and it starts to boost. I called MP Brakes and Baer today and they don't recommend an adjustable prop valve (they say unsafe). This car will rarely see street driving so I say why not. I've eliminated all other possible problems so I'm convinced after the park brake test that it's just not sending enough hydraulic pressure to the rears.
Where do I buy a good adjustable prop valve? Any and all info on the install would be appreciated.
Thanks, John
