11" or 12" Front Disc Brake Conversion

I would like to upgrade my front brakes on my 87 GN to 11 or 12 inch off another GM car. Anyone know which model car I should be looking for that would also be compatible? I am running 16" GTA wheels so I have some additional clearance. Trying to avoid after-market big-buck kits but would like to end-up being able to stop the car as well as it will accelerate. Anyone ever done this successfully? thanks
