Calling all Turbo Guru's ?

Does 12 blades ( compressor ) = Garret T3/T4 Turbo ? Its on my 86 GN, Its an upgraded turbo from Turbocity in 1989.
Part # was 3-493 GN Hi Flo Upgrade. It spools fast and no endplay, just curious

The stocker is 14 blades with 7 major and 7 minor on the compressor side. The TA-49 with inlet bell and TE-44 with intregal bell are 12 blade on the compressor side. Easy way to get a ballpark is pop that baby off and measure the diameter.

yeah it looks like a TE-44 but the housing on the compressor says Airesearch ( I think) not garret. It does have and integral inlet bell !! Pop the housing off and measure the O.D. of the Compressor wheel. ??

Thats cool if it is, no wonder my car is so fast
