I'm getting ready to install a Robert Adams 12" upgrade kit, and I was rereading the articles at gnttype.org about 12" brake upgrades. In the article: http://buick.gnttype.org/techarea/brakes/12inch.html he mentions fabricating some spacers because the upper control arms are shorter than stock. I wanted see if anyone else had used this same kit and may know what size spacers to use ahead of time. Thanks.

I tried finding a web site for the Adam's kit, but couldn't,
I thought the Adams Kit come with it's own upper A-Arms?. You might be looking at two different ways of going to 12's.

The spacers described in the link article were for the Hotchkis "A" arms, not the Robert Adams ones. They were used to prevent too many shims, or too much negative camber. (too little?) Some have used the offset pivot arms, to do the same thing. The Robert Adams arms may not require the spacers. The Global West kit comes with the offset pivot arms, I think. And the results will vary some, from car to car.
