I have been reading up on how to convert my car to 12" front brakes and I'm not sure how reliable the info is I have read.
Ok I go to link: Install 12 Inch Brakes on your GN
And it reads to complete the install you will need these parts:
Left and Right spindles and dust shields from a late '80s B-body (Caprice) with police package brakes (12 inch)
Left and Right calipers from the same B-body donor car mentioned above
12 Inch rotors from a mid to late '80s IROC Camaro (IROC rotors have the 12 mm metric studs, Caprice rotors are 1/2 inch studs)
A set of Hotchkiss or Global West upper control arms (your choice)
Then I goto Global West and read their page: Global Wests Tubular upper control arm and disc brake conversions
Tech Tip: If you are looking for 12-inch discs off of a donor car, do not use police car or taxicab spindles. The lower ball joint tapers are too big and will not work. The ball joints for those vehicles can not be machined down to fit your control arm either.
So do I use the spindels off the Police package B-Body or not? Who's right...
