Getting ready to assemble the 12 inch rotor upgarde...

Global west upper control arms...2 1le rotors, b body spindles.....

what calipers?

Either 77-81 F body calipers or the 77-up b body calipers. Both are the same. The earlier calipers (69-76?) had different thread size for the hoses. Make sure you get the b body master cylinder if you have a vacuum set up.
I used one for an 86 Caprice wagon. You just have to swap the plastic reservior for one from a G body master.
Other than that, it sounds like you are set.

b4c police package calipers is what I got they are huge

I bought calipers and all related hardeware for an 83 Olds Custum Cruiser but IMO it doesnt matter which vehicle you pick as long as it had the 12" rotors. I wouldnt spend any extra money on the fancy stuff either. I took the advise from a buddy to go with regular stock stuff any regular pads. I went ahead and did s-10 wheel cylinders and big shoes in the rear shortly after the 12" front and the bias is pretty good. If anything I need a Prop valve to add alittle more to the rear since in the first test of stabbing the peddle the fronts only will lock. I am gonna let em all break in a while and test again.

Sorry...It was more info than you asked for but you cant have too much info right?

HTH

ps...I definately need to get a strap to hold the laptop in the passenger seat :D

This setup seems to create a lot of dusting on the front wheels. Keep 'em clean!

The calipers are the same on the police packages. The pads on some of the 93-96 model 9C1's were slightly larger.
But cars with 11" brakes share the same calipers as the cars with the 12" brakes.

Back to the top.....

Why does Global West specifically suggest the 1970-1976 F-body calipers?

What changed in 77? The 77-81 F-body, and 77+ B-body calipers are the same?

I used the Performance friction Z rated pads and I don't get hardly any dust on my rims. :D
