IMO............ no I did the drive twice in the late 80s early 90s and a buddy and I each drove our own cars separately and vowed never again.

The best way to go IMO is to fly into Nashville, TN rent a car and drive an hour north and you are there.

If you want to drive there maybe some TR guys and gurus from NJ heading down and maybe you can hook up with them.

I'm doin it,14hrs 1000 miles:eek: ,pullin the car from TX. Should be a good time.

lol that bad? i personally can drive for hours and have no problem with it but i think it will be worth it with or without the car to be around other cars and watch them run!

still th inking about it got till thursday to decide and find a good friend to go down with me

I got in today. Trailered my car from NH. Going the the Nats is a blast, it's a LOT more fun with your turbo car, even if you don't race. If you're Buick is apart, I wouldn't contemplate driving a non Buick. Def. fly in. Southwest is the cheapest way into Nashville..then pick up a cheap rental. I drove my GN several times in the early years even though I didn't race it back then, it's a blast w/your own ride.

1300 Miles for me,,, cant wait! Leaving in the AM:biggrin:

It's a long ride 4 sure. Too long for a weekend trip. I would pass this year considering they are calling for rain Fri/Sat.

you can't count on that !! hell look at all the "BLIZZARDS" we were "suppose" to have over the winter  Florida has rain every other day and its usually gone in a few hours

Never trust the KY weather forecasts.

90% chance or rain = nice and sunny.
nice and sunny = 90% chance of rain or somewhere in between...
