Just checking to see if these sized wheels will fit a stock 1987 GN??

Front:
17x8 w/ 3.75" offset
245/45ZR17

Rear:
17x9.5 w/ 4.50" offset
275/40R17

Any help would be great -
Let me know,
Brandon

Almost.

I went with the 4.75 BS frt. I plan on running the B-body 12 Brake setup. Which adds 1/2 BS. Rears (BS) looks good. Tires are fine too.

Both tires you mentioned are on the very short side (small diameter). If that's what you like, have at it. If not, look at 255 50 17s (27" tall) for the rear and 255 45 17s (26") for the front.

Thanks for the help. I want to have a taller tire and I will check on these sizes before I buy. I am still not sure about the Offset/Backspacing issues. I just don't want them to rub in the corners.

Hello again Brandon. I'm getting a set of Torque Thrust II's in that same size. Email Neil Werner (8UWITH6) as he had 17's on his GN for a while. I'll get you all the prices this evening also. Thanks bud.

Brandon,
I just mounted 17x8's in the front and 18x9.5's in the rear on my car last weekend. They fit great. I have 4.5" backspace on the fronts and 5" on the rear. I have 235/45-17 in front and 275/35-18's in the rear.

DOH!

TAZ! You took my idea! LOL :D I was gonna do 17s and 18s on my ttype. Oh well, Ill just do 16s and 17s now ;) PICTURES PLEASE!!!!!!!!! VERY INTERESTED TO SEE THEM TAZ

TAZ - what rear brakes???

What rear brakes do you have and how close to the frame are your tires with the 5" BS on the rear?

Like 1QWIK6 I'm about to get some 17x9.5s to replace my 17x7 TT2s. I just don't want to rub the frame, and I plan to roll the lip with intentions of also running 28x10.5 slicks when the time comes.

backspacing

the fronts will probably stick out too much like a gnx- im going with 17x7 s on front with 4" bs and also plan on doing the b body spindles 12" brakes which would make it 3.5" on a 7" rim-

I like the look of the TTIIs but I still believe I will be going with the 17" Telstars. Some one on the board has them.
