I need some advice.

I have a local friend in Sugarland Texas with a ‘59 Studebaker truck, all original (289, manual column shift)
Due to an unfortunate medical condition, he had to have both legs and all fingers amputated.
He is unable to drive the truck.

I am trying to assist him with a conversion from manual transmission to automatic.
Does anyone have any information as to the type of transmission and project scope?

Im sure a c4 would work. Check with the Stude fourm. Thats a cool truck. Sorry to hear about your friend.

Thanks guys!
I send a few e-mails out last night to people from the various Studebaker groups.
I am going to take the lead on this thing and try to get his weekend cruiser back.

My friend is an AMAZING guy!
He is always craking jokes and is STILL cracking jokes like:
My wife says I don’t have a leg to stand on.
Guy cut me off and I could not flip this guy the bird.
No longer have cold feet. Etc etc.
We laugh and tease him . . . . but we all agree that he is one TOUGH SOB!!
