BTW, your brother's X-11 was on the FWD X car architecture, this Turbo Coupe was on the RWD A/G car architecture.
A nice 4 speed X-11 is also on my bucket list!
The X-11 - True True. FWD - I knew that - jeez. Don't get old - fact & fiction get all screwed up when you're tired. Too much vitamin B(lee) when I was young.
Anyway - you got the dealer - Jones. The last couple years I have not gone there as the 'old school' feel of the show at the dealership was kind of lost. They affiliated themselves - "the last I remember" (you know how reliable that is!) with some other folks and the cruise was eliminated.
"Churnin' Dirt" at their local fairgrounds became their headliner event. My reaction was "You want me to bring my shiny BEEUWICK's to a 4Wd/tractor pull?" Just what I want to do on a hot sticky & dusty July (or whatever) afternoon. I got nothing against 4wd pulls - in fact my brother & I did that many times back a few years.... in a '46 Willys CJ2a - that had a BEEUWICK V6 under the hood. We ran that little crawler thru the mud and helped measure the big boy tractors & the trucks with their RAT motors. Talk about lead sleds and grunt - there was a load of that. I just got away from the idea 'that breaking something every weekend was fun.
Anyway I'd be interested in hearing what's up in Richland Center. I do still wonder what the recent car shows were like. Thanks for posting up.
Bob
