No but it would be easy to do. Mine are Chris Alston's subframe connectors part #7111

Nice car Heg87t...don't see too many of those anymore...last I saw one up close was when women still had Farrah Fawcett hair do's, people wore their socks pulled up to their knees and REO Speedwagon's "Keep On Loving You" was a top 40 hit on the radio.
Ohh that one's not around anymore. Shortened the right side of the frame on a curb and sent it away. Sad day... :frown:

Don't want to drown you guys with H body stuff but here is a few more pics.

This Mirage was in Hemmings Muscle Machine a few years back (17K miles)

The yellow Monza was in a Movie last Summer. The actor who drove it didn't know how to drive a manual so all the film with him in it driving the car was actually being pushed.

I found my white Hawk five years ago with less than 10k original miles. It has the Hawk Accent stripe package (RPO DL1). Brian

Now if you found one of the rare Roadhawks then I'd be looking hard at it myself. The Mirage was ok but the wing on the Roadhawk looked much better.

Thanks for the pics of the torque arm. The F-body part is much shorter than I was expecting. I had similar plans with a fabbed crossmember and custom mount. I however have retained the stock rear housing and just beefed it up. I figure a car that weighs less than 2300 pounds doesn't need too much more strength than a nicely built 7.5. I may just build the entire setup so it is fully functional with my chassis.

Man, that sucks. If I was closer I'd seriously think about getting it.

The 7.5" will hold up fine Erik, but you need to do some re-enforcing to it. Weld the tubes a little better in the center and then add some braces from the top of the center to the middle of the tubes. We're forced to use them in dirt track because the other option is the 8.5" and it costs way to much. The only issue we've ever had is breaking them at the center. The gears hold up fine but the housing is the week point.

I do like the looks of the Roadhawk too. One of the H body members has one with the glass roof. Bryan McCready's web site has a prototype picture of the Roadhawk and its a four headlight car. Buick did a Free Spirit Hawk for 76 & 77. Nighthawk for 77 and the Roadhawk and Designer Accent Edition Hawks for 79 & 80. I have the 80 report and only 292 & 295 of those cars were made that year.

I would really like to find the Buick Domestic and Export Report for the 78 & 79 H body. Those are the only ones missing!!!!!!!!!!!!

No problem, the mount at the rear on mine moved the TA more to the drivers side and wouldn't fit at first. It worked out putting it on the other side closer to the drive shaft. 2300 lbs. that is a serious diet! I've never broken a rear but I'm an old fart and hope after the car runs nothing breaks for a long time

Here you go. Needs work and the back wing is broken.

Hard to find parts! Brian

There are a few rust free Skyhawks in Ohio :D

No problems here....I'd rather be looking at old Monzas as opposed to all the FWD crap that came afterwards....even if they were a bit flimsy, at least the H bodies were RWD.

 Thanks!

John I hope to see you car in person some day. It really looks great! Brian
